"Queen of the Deep Blue"
I first fell in love with underwater exploration while watching Lloyd Bridges, TV series, "Sea Hunt". My interests in preserving our oceans and marine life expanded while attending Cousteau Society Seminar. In 1980, I completed my certification as a Scuba Diver. As an Artist, I took underwater photos of marine life and coral reefs to create watercolor paintings. Through my paintings, it is important to educate and share our fragile marine life environment with current and future generations. One memorable experience was a 120' dive, Cozumel, Mexico. I photographed a pair of Queen Angel fishes darting around a large coral head. As a result, I created and sold my original watercolor, "Queen of the Deep Blue". I've had many treasured diving experiences to capture unique experiences in Florida Keys, Bonaire, and Cozumel, Mexico. Thanks to my collectors, most of my original marine life watercolors have sold. Today, I continue to sell fine art Giclee prints of my original paintings. Select Artwork: Marine Life & Coastal Scenes, to see additional paintings. After moving from Florida, my interests changed to creating watercolors of wildlife and landscapes.
